Crying Male Cat

We have a 10 month old male cat and within the past month he has began to cry at our bedroom door uncontrollably in the early morning hours. We have been just ignoring him but it is now to the point that we open the door not to wake any of the neighbors. This morning at 4:30 he was in the room and urinated in the closet and when we returned from work we noticed that he had urinated on the bed in the extra bedroom. What is wrong with our cat???? PLEASE HELP...we don't want to have to give him away....

Have you had him neutered yet? If not then that could be the problem, he will becoming frustrated and this behavior is a sign of this.

Also it is important to keep your cat active during the day so that at night time they are less likely to want attention and will be happier to sleep. After all night time is the usual time for cats to be active. Play with him am energetc game about an hour before bedtime and feed him just before you go to bed this will help to settle him down for the night. But is he is not neutered then this is really the first thing to do.

What kind of cat do you have? I have a 8 month old Blue Russian and he does the same thing except he will climb up on the dressers and knock everything over. We have tried to lock our door but he just scratches and meows louder! He not fixed either.
One suggestion I have that worked for us a couple of nights ago was give him some wet food before bed. sometimes if they eat enough they will be too lazy to run around and cry.
