FERAL CAT WITH BABIES

feral mom leaves 3 babies 4 months for a nite comes back next day but now babies afraid of mom they hide from her why?

Well if the kittens are now 4 months old they are not technically her babies any more and are moving into adult hood.

At around this age in nature the mother cat would normally begin to try and shoo the kittens away so that she can have another litter. they too would start to have adult emotions such as aggression and the first twinges of mating behavior so they probably don't see their mother as their mother any more more of a another cat in their territory.

You do need to start to think about what you are going to do with them. If you leave it for too much longer you could find yourself with another litter from the mother cat and possible in not too long one of the female kittens could get pregnant too.
