Found my kitten dead with some ivy in mouth

i found my 10 month old cat dead in the feild with his teeth clench and ivy in his mouth no other marks on his body let me know what you think please

Hi sadly there are a lot of plants which are harmful to cats. Most of the time cats avoid these and leave them along but perhaps a over curious kitten would try some. English ivy is one of these posonous plants i'm afraid. I have a page about this issue here for further information
