help 2 year old cat afraid

i moved and my cat is acting afraid,he has sprayed and has never done that before,also hides a lot now,what should I do,is this normal

yes this is normal. when cat is afraid they will display this sort of behavior to try and make the place smell more like them and this helps them to calm down. usually this behavior will stop after a while. however you could try keeping the cat in one room for a few days to help it settle down adn then slowly let it explore other areas of the house. you can also help my rubbing the cat with a clean towel and then rubbing the towel around your home, bottom of chairs, door frames etc.
