hurt cat tail

my Kadie got her tail shut in the door and lost a piece of skin..she had a meltdown when it happened and went after the other 2 cats in the house (like they did it ) after she settled down and I checked her it's not broken that I can tell, she ate and social with the other 2 cats (her mother and father) now 6 hours later she is under our bed and won't let the other 2 in the room, hissing and growning under the bed..this is not her nature she has never hissed in her life ? I am concerned

cats will often act like this when they are in pain or afraid. It is likely that she may be in some pain from the injury and so i would recommned a trip to the vets for some pain relief.

My cat recently got his tail hurt and he was very down and reclusive. However after a pain relief injection he was much happier.

It is always best to have the injury checked anyway in case there is any damage, sometimes it can be difficult to see.
