Hello, I hope you can help me solve this problem, or at least give me some advice. Any help would be appreciated. I have a male, neutered cat named Darth, Darth is just your average black cat. Comes and goes as he pleases. Sometimes he is very loving and affectionate and then in a second he wants to rip my flesh off. I have had him for 5 years or so, he was a young cat when I got him. He was a shelter cat.He is spoiled rotten and is very healthy. He just seems pissed off all the time. I dont know what to do with him. And even though Im allergic to his dander I love him and pet him all the time. He also beats the crap out of the two other cats for no reason. He has also been know to assault house guests for no reason. Additionally when my husband goes to sleep, he will lower his rear end onto his face and sit there, yes I know its pretty funny but it has gotten him punched in the butt more than once, then of course I get upset for him hitting the cat.Ok so what gives with this cat? is he just a jerk? or is there something were doing wrong? please help. Thanks Merri

Hi
well it sounds to me that either this cat had some very horrible experiences during its early life which has made him rather aggressive and moody all the time or he may have a hormonal problem which makes him aggressive or fed up.

i don't know if you have spoken to your vet about this issue before but if I were you i would ask the vet about this and see if there is any tests that could be done.

It is very unusual for a neutered cat to be so aggressive all the time. It suggests to me that either there is something physically wrong which could be making him feel this way or he is bored. A bored cat can become quite destructive and aggressive.

I do have a couple of pages on my site which you may find of further interest here
