I've heard from many people that if u buy a kitten (or any pet) from a pet shop, it's not good because they aren't brought up properly.

is ths true???
where is the best place to buy a kitten?
is a shelter he best place?

Absolutely right. The poor animlas that are bred for the sole purpose of being sold from a pet shop are often to be found to have underlining illnesses, may or may not have had a good start in life. Plus it is unlikely that they will have been vaccinated or netured etc etc.

Also its not a good idea to encorage breeders for pets shops when there are so many unwanted cats and kittens waiting for homes in shelters.

yes getting a kitten from a shelter is the best option for so many reasons
You will be giving a home to a homeless kitten
the kitten will have been given a full health check so you know if there are any health problems.
They are usually vaccinated and nutered.
Plus the shelter will know what sort of perosnality they have and so can match them better to the right owners.

I have some pages here with more information about rehoming from shelters etc here
