is my cat pregnant?

my friends cat is roughly 1 yr old she's been acting strange for the last couple of days and is know cleaning her vagina constantly she has also put weight on but whats more wierd is she keeps arching her back and sort of squatting then she starts crying do oyu think she could be pregnant??

if she is not spayed then i would say that she is probably in heat. Her behavior would suggest this.please see this page for more information

Cats don't normally show signs of being pregnant until late into it, so it can be difficult;t to say for sure.
