My cat is keeping his chin in the water dish by: Mary
My cat has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was hydrated today with ringers lactate with vit B and given a steroid shot.
Usually that perks him up and he eats, drinks and uses the litter box. Today after coming back from the vet he's eaten a little but spent most of the day with his chin in the shallow water bowl.
When he purrs it sounds very high pitched now. We want to keep him around, age 16, until he exhibits signs of pain or quits eating.
We will take him back to the vet tomorrow.
