just had a kitten

Hello my cat just had a kitten and not twenty min later she is up walking around the house but she is bleeding and seems ok so I guess this is my qyestion

1. is it normal for her to be away from the kitten so long? Not all cats are born mothers and it may be that your cat is still a little unsure of what to do. Hopefully instinct will kick in soon and she will start to look after her kitten more. 2. the kitten cant seem to find a nipple and when it does it stays on it for two seconds and thats it im wondering if she has milk and how to check if she does? By gently squeezing her nipple you should see a drop of milk come out. It may be that the kitten is also unsure of how to suckle. again instinct will kick in soon hopefully, if not you will have to step in and try to hand feed with a special kitten nipple bottle which stimulates them to suckle.
