Kitten being nursed by my Siamese cat, not its mother

A week ago we got a kitten about 8-12 weeks old. My other cat, Lily (3 years old) hissed and growled but just last night they sleep together and my kitten actually was kneeding Lily and nursing. Is this normal?

The kitten will try to feed off of anything that looks and feels like his mother. it has even been known for kittens to suck at each other and wear the fur off. So it is not surprising that he sees this cat as a possible source for food.

he should stop this behavior soon as he should now be weaning onto solid food. See this page for more on this here
