kitten injury

hi,

Today my mom accidentally stepped on my baby kitten and it sounded like she screamed. she quickly went under the table and started meowing constantly. when she came out again, she was limping on her back left paw. we gave her some of her favorite food and she ate it. then she stopped meowing.I'm so worried is she going to be limping forever? Any suggestions?

my advice is to definitely take your kitten to the vets. Stepping on a kitten can cause all sorts of injuries, some which may not be visable at first. even if she only had her paw stepped on, it could have fractured or at the very least become badly bruised which will be painful. A vet will be able to say whether or not there are other injuries and also provide some pain relief if necessary.

i don't want to frighten you, but I always think it is better to be safe than sorry. A kittens is very fragile and having something the size of a human step on it could easily cause damage.
