kitten is sleeping more

Ok my kitten is about three months old now she sleeps and plays a lot, but lately she has been sleeping and hiding when she sleeps more now, is this normal?

this is difficult to ascertain really. cats do sleep a lot and yes as they get older they do want to sleep more. however illness can also be a reason why a cat would want to sleep more. it all depends on how long this has been going on for and if there are other symptoms too ie not eating or drinking as normal, not using the litter tray etc.

this will have to be something that you monitor over the next few days. However i always recommend taking a cat especially a kitten to a vets if their behavior does change, as it can often be the first signs of illness.

hopefully it is nothing more than a little virus which will pass in a day or so.
