kitty acting weird randomly...

I have a cat shes only a little over a year old, 2 days ago my landlord was doing some work outside of our apartment complex and he used a very loud drill. Now i think that might have scared my cat or something because since then shes been trying to hide in the bathroom cabinet and in my closet...When i bring her out of hiding she shakes and looks around the room with her ears back like shes still scared..

i guess what my question is, is will she stop acting afraid anytime soon, and is that what may have
cause her to be acting like this?

yes it does sound like your cat has been frightened by this noise, don't worry some cats do react worse than others to strange loud noises.

basically she needs some time and also some distractions to get over her fear. Don't force her out from under the bed let her stay there, it could make things worse otherwise.

Also give her something new to play with, distraction is a good way to help a cat get over their fear.
