my cat was recently declawed and neutered. He used to meow all of the time. Since his surgery he appears to not be able to meow. he opens his mouth and barely any sound comes out.

It may be that his throat is sore from the tubes they use during the operation. check with your vet if this does not change.

Poor cat he has been through an ordeal. keep an eye on his paws. Sometimes declawing can cause pain for some time afterwards and or other problems too, that is one of the reasons why it is banned here in the UK. hopefully he will be fine.
