My 5 mth old super hyper and loving kitten is all of a sudden scared of everything.

What could be wrong with my kitten? She was fine one minute and the next she is super scared of everything and every noise. She is afraid to move around the house and is smelling everything as if she has never seen it before.

well this does sound a little strange. I wonder if she has recently had a shock and this has made her more weary of things etc.

Some cats are more nervous than others for some reason and it may just be that as she is getting older this personality trait is starting to show itself. I have a page about this here

If something has frightened her recently then hopefully over time this memory will fade and her confidence will return. Until then all you can do is try your best to reassure her and distract her by playing games with her etc.
