Hi
i am a little confused. Does the vet know the cause of the pain? If he thinks she has a painful back what does he think is causing this?

from your question I am not clear if all he did was to give you pain meds because he thought it would ease by itself or is there a need for further investigation to determine the exact cause of the pain.

I am sorry but this question cannot be answered over the Internet. A physical examination of your cat is the only way to determine the cause of your cats pain.

If I were you i would telephone your vets and ask for a fuller explanation of his diagnosis you that you understand what is going on with your cat.

I hope she is feeling better soon

Kate
