My cat has been losing her hair lately...

My mama cat, Diva ((her personality is the reason for her name)), had a litter of four kittens in June and then was fixed in August. But ever since these things have happened, she has been losing her fur on her back and back legs. She also has these little red, scabby like bumps on her neck and she has been throwing up a white, foaming liquid, or a brown... sort of creamy looking mess all over the place. I want to help her, but I don't know what is wrong with her so I can help her. It's getting bad, since her kittens are starting to get the scabby bumps on them as well.

Please help me, I really want to help my cat, I just don't know what to do for her, and I really don't want to lose her if it is something serious.

Hi Sounds to me like a parasite problem possibly fleas. Please see these pages of mine for more information on how to deal with them.

It is very important that your kittens are kept flea free as they can become very ill through anemia if the infestation is not treated.

Don't worry we have all been through this at one time or another it can be tricky but can be conquered.

best wishes Kate

HOME REMEDIES-THEN TO THE VET.
by: debbie 3 cats lots of strays

15 years ago my cat cheeks got the bug under the skin, which there is no cure for, he kept getting kidney infections, and i kept him on pinacellion-mispelled, but 3 days i got lazy and did not give him medicine which i d had been giving him for 3 years. he was 13, you really need to take the cat to the vet, we can cure some stuff, but your cat sounds like a doctor needs to treat it. I did take my cat to the vet he gave me stuff that smelled like gasoline and i was to dip him in it, i did this for a week, it did not seem to help, i inturn started itching, and got a red rash on my stomach, from holding him, I ended up putting him to sleep. it was called mange, i am not sure if that is spelled write.

Thanks so much for the information, it was really helpful to me and my husband for determining what is happening, and we will be sure to take her to the vet soon so we can help her.
