My cat is sneezing and loosing hair

My cat is just a couple years old and recently started sneezing quite a bit... Like as many as 5 times in a row. I wasent too concerned about this because every now and then one of my three cats will get a cold.. But the other day I picked her up and saw that she has patches of hair missing from her lower back and tail. Do these have anything to do with each other? Another concern is she has scab like spots around her neck. I know this could probably be from on of the other cats when they play fight. I also dont think its fleas.

well it is difficult to say if these things are related or not, my feeling is not.

The fur problem could be caused by a parasite such as fleas as the rear end is a favorite spot for them and of course the cat then scratches the fur off. So do check that there is not a flea problem.

Another possible cause is from an allergic reaction to something, this may also be connected with the sneezing and or fur loss around her neck. See this page for more on this possibility

keep an eye on her over the next week or so and see if the sneezing stops and or if the fur loss gets any worse. In which case your best option is to take her to the vets to find out for sure what could be causing these problems.
