my cat is vomitting white foam

hi my cat is like 6 years old and it never had any major sickness or disease befor.until recently he started vomiting white foam.he also stopped eating and drinking.he would just like still and not move.he tries to shout but cant get his voice up.please can you tell me what exactly is happening with him.

hi well it is not possible to say for sure what is wrong with him as cat vomiting can be caused by many things. however he may have a hairball problem. see this page for more information

However if he has not eaten for awhile or drank then I would say that you should take your cat to the vets as soon as possible in case their are other complications.
