my cat is wek after giving birth

My cat had kittens a week ago,now she is very weak and will not eat lately..when i pick her up she groans..is it normal?

no this is not normal and any cat that stops eating and shows signs of discomfort especially after giving birth should certainly see a vet as soon as possible.

there is no way of knowing what the issue is but something sounds wrong and should be investigated by a vet.


if your female is weak then her kittens could also be suffering if her milk is affected etc.

She is a gorgeous cat by the way and hopefully the vet can sort her out quickly.
