Hi
well I can think of only two other things whicg may be causing the vomiting. However I am not a vet so always follow your vets advice first.
It may be hairballs

Or it may be that he bolts his food down too quickly. My own cat used to do this and would throw up every day. So i gave her smaller portions of food but more often through out the day. this prevented her from eating too much all in one go. we also moved her only to dry kibble and water or cat milk. this also seems to help her. (she is back on both wet and dry food now but has learnt not to eat so fast).
best wishes Kate
