My Cat Sleeps Above My Head

my cat has been sleeping above my head for the past 4 days, what does this mean?

I sense some paranoia here :), Don't worry I am the same and rad all sorts of meanings into things, so I know what you are thinking.

The fact that your cat is sleeping above your head means nothing at all apart from the fact that its a new little habit your cat has developed. I have seen cats do this all the time, I have seen cats who want to sleep wrapped round their owners necks. Some cats just seems to want to be very close to their owners, especially if it is particularly cold at night.

If you do have any worries around your own health then your best option is to speak to your doctor. but Unless you have any other symptoms I would just put down your cats new behavior to just a new quirky habit.

Could be worse!

When my cat Mijo was young he used to sleep ON my head! Then as he got bigger it got less and less comfortable. I was kind of nice being able to hear his purr and his heartbeat at the same time.

I agree with Kate. I have a kitty, Hope, who will find a new spot to sleep and if she likes it will not leave that spot for a few days, except to eat, etc. She's just getting a little eccentric lol.
