My cats hate each other

i have an 8 year old female cat she is spayed recently about 2months back we had to adopt a 2 year old female cat who is very loving.we got her spayed as well.we have to keep them in seperate rooms because they fight my old cat is now very scared she does not come out of the room the young one is comfortable and is always on look out to attack the older cat who is otherwise physically weak also iam afraid for my older cat will she really harm her if accidently they come face to face last time when my older cat was attacked she stayed away from home for 4 days and came back hungry and exhausted the second time they fought the older cat has a bleeding ear the yonger cat is aggressive and has made my old cat very scared ihave no place where ican relocate the new cat but iam worried for my old cat she is afraid to go to pee also i have to stand with her in my back yard with her then she immediatly goes in she looks scared and stressed what do i do

Your two cats need time to get to now each other without the fear of attack. You can do this over a period of time of controlled meetings. It does take a little time and effort on your part but it really does help the cats build up their confidence in each other. The process is described on this page

Also you could try having one of those cat calming sprays in the house which helps to reduce stress, I think they are called felaway, your pet shop should have them.

Be patient and stay calm yourself, cats can pick up on our own worries. So take little slow steps with the cats and they will eventually learn to live together if not harmoniously,
