my male kitten never uses the litter tray

my male kitten is about 6 months old he started using the litter tray first but know he doesn't even when the litter tray has been cleaned and a fresh lot put in he still doesn't use it but over the day he seems to be leaking from his bottom,he rubs his bum across the floor,licks it all the time to try and clean it. I know he doesnt have worms as used the stuff the vets gave me 2 weeks ago.i need help!!!!!!!!

Hi well he either has a tummy upset which is also irritating his bottom or he has some problems with his anal glands. Some cats get problems with these and they need treatment from the vet. however as i say it may just be diarrhoea.

i would feed him a plain diet for a few days to help his tummy to settle down and at the same time use the confinement litter training method.

if after a week there is no change with his tummy etc then you will have to have him checked out by a vet. the litter training method can be repeated if problems persist with litter use.
