new kitten, just spayed

my little gir
I just adopted a kitten from the Animal rescue in Rhode Island. She was spayed today, but keeps crying when she tries to pee. Is it from the incision? The box is plenty big enough, and the litter is clean. On a side note she is blind, she had no problem finding the box, but i am worried she might have a bladder infection. Her name is Angel, and she is the sweetest cudllebug, loves to be petted, and talks up a storm.
Thanks
jessica

Hi
Difficult to say really it may be that she is a little sore and possibly may have an infection. However equally she may be crying out for security reasons and to get your attention so that you are near by.
Keep an eye on her, make sure she does pass urine and that it does not have a strong odor. Make sure she gets plenty of fresh water to help keep her hydrated and her system flushed through.
if she is the same in a few days and you are still concerned then having her checked out by a vet would not hurt.
the anesthetic from the operation can take a few days to fully leave the system so she may be feeling a little strange and that is why she is crying so that you can comfort her.
lets hope she is back to her old self in a day or two.
best wishes Kate
