not sure if my cat is sick

my cat has,nt eaten her catfood this mornin, so i went to the shop and bought her 1 i no she likes, she has,nt eaten anythin and she has been asleep all day she is a stray cat that i took in 2 weeks ago, please help i love her so much and im not sure wot to do i have never had a cat. :) xxx

Hi well it is not unusual for cats to pick up viruses like we do which make them go off there food for a day or two so i wouldn't worry at this stage.

Make sure she has access to fresh water and allow her to sleep, this will probably pass in a day or so. If she is still the same after three days or if she is not drinking either then you will need to get her to a vet.

Also for suture reference it is not a good idea to change a cats food type often as this can also upset their stomachs and cause diarrhea etc.
