Old Cat question

My cat is 15 yrs old and has recently started going to the bathroom all over the house . He still uses the litter box and also goes outside but this new habit is really frustrating . I have tried changing the litter more frequently and moving the box but this has not helped . any thoughts ???

Unfortunately there is no one answer to this. It may be age related i.e a sort of dementia setting in. It may be a physical illness which causes him to go unexpectedly or it may be behavioral where he feel the need to scent mark his territory.

I would suggest reading my pages about this issue to see if it rings any bells with you. But at the end of the day you are best placed to judge whether or not it is behavioral or an illness.
