Panting cat

i have a 14 year old white cat. recently she has started to pant whilst sitting. She has also gotten very skinny despite still having an appitite?

It does like your cat needs to see a vet as soon as possible. it is impossible to be able to say exactly what is wrong but i am wondering if she may have a heart problem. the symptoms of panting and losing weight would suggest that as a possible cause.
