Pooping all over the house , throwing up and losing weight, howling
I have a 14 year old male cat. He is pooping all over the house including on my bed. His poop is really large and dry. He eats and throws up all over the house and usually undigested but in large amounts. He walks through the house howling. This has been happening for awhile and is has lost alot of weight. I am at my wits end and I dont know if it is time to put him down or what to do. I am on a limited budget but I have had him since he was a baby. Any help would be appreciated.

Due to his age it is quite possible that he is suffering some underlying illness which may be causing him distress and causing him to poop everywhere (a sign of anxiety)
the weight loss could be an indication of several possible illnesses all which are treatable if caught early enough such as thyroid problems and diabetes.
it is time to take him to the vets but for some tests so that you can make a proper informed decision about his future. I had a cat who suffered with both a heart murmur and a thyroid problem and with treatment she lived until she was 17 happily to the end.
i have information on my site about bot cat thyroid problems and feline diabetes under my cat heath section which you may want to check out.
best wishes kate
