Questions about sbi

(Arizona)

Hi Kate-

My name it Kathleen and I live in Arizona. I actually signed up to build a SBI site and feel like I hit a brick wall. When I signed up it was to help my husband build a site for his business of video production primarily for small business. Anyway I feel so lost it's been 6 months sense I signed up and I've only got through Day 4 of the Action Guide. The fourms confuse me and I'm not sure what to do, or how to proceed. I have a couple of other ideas also for building sites of other things that I have passion for, if only I can feel confidant about building this site and get it up and running. Any input would be great! By the way I love your site, we don't currently have a cat but I grew up with a Siamese Cat and she was 17 years old when she died, I had some good times with our dear Ding-a-Ling. Thanks for listening-
Kathleen

Hi Kathleen
I started this cat site about 18 months ago and I know exactly what you mean by being so confused at the beginning. It took me ages to go through the process step by step, finding the right concept and getting all my related keywords then building the structure ie teir 2s and then teir 3's.
But let me assure you, as long as you keep going you will be amazed at how quickly you pick it all up and now i have three web sites running, no make that 4 as i am just starting a website for my partners business.

For you, you are half way their as you know what your site is about, i.e video production. so you need to be making sure how you are going to present your website ie how will it come across ie friendly, authoritative, professional, etc etc. On day four you should be researching different keywords for your concept and then building a blueprint of what pages you are going to build and what keyword those pages will use.

Just for your information sbi have
just launched a online training program for those who feel they need a more of hand holding process. So if you are really feeling overwhelmed and need more guidance on a more one to one basis then that may be the answer for you.

I hope you can find a way forward as i have loved every minute of building my web sites and i have learnt so much in such a short period of time because of all the help sbi gives.

Hope i have been of some help. :)

My Experience with My Website
by: Romy Macias

Kate,

Hello my name is Romy and I just wanted to add on Kathleen's post. Yes, at first it did seem like alot of information to take in. But I put my blinders on and followed the Action Guide. Sometime I took days or weeks for 1 Day of the Action Guide, but it didn't matter to me, because I wanted to make sure I was understanding it all. I figured I was giving myself an excellent education on site building and online business creation.

Don't dispair Kathleen, if you need to stay away from the forums for a few days to concentrate on the Action Guide, do. You'll have plenty of time to read the threads once you get a better grip of the AG lessons.

And you know what? I've been building content for my site for 7 months now, I have almost 90 pages, I'm ranked pretty high! I'm setting up my Newsletter Issues, building my list and the next step is to monetize - before summer.

Thanks Kate for this opportunity to share our ideas.

Appreciation
by: Kathleen

Thanx Kate,
I appreciate your input, I do see that they have more one-on-one support available for a fee. I think I need to contact them just to get me over the hurdle. Once I can get one done I think I can have the confidence that you have to do more, at least that's the goal! Again it is great to interact with you about it, thanks for getting back with me so soon. Good luck with your "newest" site.
Kathleen
