Scaredy cat

I just got a 4 month old kitten about 10 days ago. She is a bit timid and spends the majority of her time hiding under the sofa or the bed. Any suggestions to help her gain some bravery?

Hi I wouldn't worry too much as it can take some time for some cats to settle into a new home. It also depends on her individual personality and how she copes with change etc.
