Sick Cat breathing heavy

My cat is behaving strangely. He went and pooped on the carpet and was sitting on top of it. He wouldn't move when we called him. And his is sitting very quietly in a position he usually doesn't. He is shivering and breathing strangely too. Could it be he ate something strange?

hi I'm sorry but it is impossible for me to say. his symptoms could be caused by all sorts of things. However one thing is for sure that i would definitely want to take him to the vets as soon as i could to be on the safe side. I don't like the sound of his breathing difficulties and this could be the first sign of some other underlining illness.

i do hope he is Ok again soon
