Sister cats having problems after one took dewormer.

I recently took one of our two girl cats to the Vet because she had worms. The visit was brief and the Vet gave her dewormer pills. Upon arriving back home the other cat, who is her sister, was acting normal. The next day she started hissing at the cat who had been dewormed. She is sniffing around where the other cat is and hissing whenever they are close. I assume this has something to do with the worm issue. Perhaps her scent has changed and is confusing her sister as to if she is the same cat? So I'm wondering if this will improve after the worms clear up.

Hi
no I don't think it is the worm issue it is more likely to do with the visit to the vets. This sort of behavior is quite common and is known as aggression truama. Basically it is down to fear which has been triggered by the vets visit (change in smell, routine etc).

I have more information about this issue here
