Something wrong with my cat

My cat is acting different. His meow is sounding almost muffled. It definitely is not his normal meow. His energy level has decreased and he keeps going under my son's bed, which he never does. What could this be from?

Well it depends if these symptoms have been going on for more than a few days. His symptoms could simply be a passing virus or sore throat. If this is the case it should pass in a few days, but if the symptoms continue for more than 4 or 5 days and if other symptoms are present then your best bet would be to take them to see a vet.
