strange cat behaviour

Recently our 12yr old Tabby's behaviour has changed significantly, most of his "normal" behaviours have changed.
The only significant thing that we can recall happening is that some weeks ago we had a storm during which there was a very strong/loud thunder clap/lightning strike near our home.Examples of these changes would be he seems very nervous to be on the ground within the house,he has changed the places he would normally rest in.He really just seems to be totally unsettled. In addition he is extremely hungry which we feel could be worms which we have just treated him for,he is quite thin although he has never be a heavy cat a further indication we thought that he may have worms.
We have two dogs in addition to the cat who appear to be okay.
Thank you
Hi, i would suggest that you ask your vet to check your cat for any signs of a thyroid problem. Thiness and aggitation and nervousness are often symptoms of this.
The thunderstorm may have upset him, especailly if he was a little jumpy anyway.
My page about nervous cats here https://www.our-happy-cat.com/scared-cat.html may give you some more information but i wouls say that it would be best to get him checked by a vet. :)
