Sucking Bengal Cat

Hi, We have a 5 month old Bengal kitten called Mr.Jinx. He seems to have settled in really well but has started to suck us alot. As strange as it seems he will lie on us and start sucking our ear lobes or any skin that he can get to. He is very persistent and will keep coming back after being put on the floor.

I have read that this may be as a result of being taken from his mother too young but we have had him for about 6 weeks now and he has only just started to do this. Any ideas?

I have heard of this before and i don't think people really know what the cause is. However it is a bahvior that should be discouraged as it can sometimes progress onto themselves and they atart to suck their fur too much and cause bald spots. Also the bacteria in a cats mouth is rather nasty as it is designed to cause infection in wounds etc of other cats. So it may not be too healthy for you either.
You will just have to be persistent with him and remove yourself from the situationa as soon as he starts to do it.
