my tom cat keeps growling and hissin at my female cat ther both quiet young still shes adround abt 4monthes and he's 3 weeks younger,theyve always got on great until now?

The kittens are going through lots of physical changes at this age and so their hormones are rushing around their bodies like mad. Just like teenage kids, they can get fed up with their friends and companions so it could simply be this.

Also cats starts to go in adult maturity between 4 and 8 months old and so it could well be the first signs of this happening which can cause some tension.

i wouldn't worry too much at this stage, let them work out their own differences as this is the best outcome. Also you may want to consider having your cats spayed within the next month or two to help reduce and aggression etc.
