Thank You all for your comments Tomos is at rest now in a wicker basket with his favourite blanket and toy.He has a lovely tribute heart on his grave with solar lights that come on at night. We all miss him so much and cry every day. I just hope he is with my Mum who passed away in September.Hope he is sitting on her lap.

Thank you all once again for your sympathy

RIP

There are no words which adequately describe the pain in losing a pet. Just focus on all the good times you had & feel some comfort that you provided your pet with love, food & shelter. That's all they need.

The pain will subside in time & if you didn't feel any pain then you wouldn't be human or a responsible owner. Perhaps you will reunite at a later date.

I agree with Kate. You will have so many nice memories of how much you loved your cat and vice versa that they will comfort you knowing how happy your cat was to be with loved people like yourselves. I know I would be lost without my Tom and could not even imagine how I would cope but Kate's words are comforting. My Tom is only 2 years old and I am thinking of getting another one when he is 5 so that I am ready when that day comes.

So sorry to hear of your loss. It's never easy and i dread the days ahead when I too will lose my cats.

Having been through it myself in the past all I can say is that slowly the pain will ease and only warm happy memories will remain. It can take some time but it will happen.

Be happy in the knowledge that you gave him a happy comfortable home full of love. What else do any of us really need.

Best wishes Kate
