Two cats won't get on.

I just adopted two cats. There cages were next to each other. They were taken to the play room together. They were loveable and sweet the first week. Then the male started to be very bossy. He bullyes the female. Chases her. She screams. they race up and down and all around the house. This has been going on the a month. HE is pulling his hair out and when to the bathroom in our plants! HE will not let me pet him anymore. He is always looking for her to chase. I am at my wits end!
What do I do?
Please help.
Thanks you

ummm i think they were probably introduced to each other too quickly which has caused them to see each other as a threat. It may be difficult to reverse now but it is worth keeping them apart for a few weeks and slowly introducing them to each other using the introducing cats method described on my training pages. This gives them time to get used to each other without conflict and helps to make the feel more confident with each other. Worth a try but will take some time on your part i'm afraid. good luck
