Two Male Cats Mating behavior

I have two male cats one is 2 the other is 3 the 3 yr old is trying to mount the other male cat is this normal or do i need to get the 3 yr old to vet? The 3 yr old has behaviour issues this concerns me cause the younger cat obviously does not want other cat doing this what can be done about this?

well I have heard of this before, however exactly what is the cause is not always clear. Sometimes it could be a hormone imbalance in your male cat making him act strangely like this. or it could be that a hormone imbalance is making one of them give off female scents.

the only real way to try and find out is to take both your cats for a check up at the vets and see if they can find any cause for this unusual behaviour.

Hope you can get it sorted out soon as it must be quite distressing for both you and your cats.
