Weird Cat Behaviour

I have a 2 year old female cat named Cleo. I got her when she was about 2 months old. She was an indoor/outdoor cat. She got pregnant when she was about 6 months old and had a litter of kittens. I kept one of the male kittens and didn't get him fixed because I thought cats couldn't mate till about 6 months. Anyways, She had kittens with her son and I have also kept a kitten from that litter and had learned my lesson and got it fixed as soon as it was able to.

Anyways, My questions are...

Cleo is extremely tiny she probably ways about 4 pounds if that. She eats a lot but doesn't seem to gain weight ever. I heard that if a cat has kittens early on then they will not grow anymore. Is this true?

Also, pretty much sense she was about 1 year old she started acting really strange. She acts like she is afraid of people. She has never been abused or anything yet she dosen't let anyone touch her. She always walks like she is afraid of being hurt. Sorry it's kinda hard to explain. But like when you walk by her she runs away. She isn't really like this with me its mainly with other people. But I don't know why she seems so afraid of people?

Also, she seems to go in heat a lot. She is always moewing and pushing her bum into the air and all the stuff that they do when there in heat. But lately she has been like following me around meowing at me and
then when I walk by her she like try's to bite my leg? I have no idea what she is trying to do. She just dosen't to like when I walk away from her I guess. I haven't got her fixed because I don't like the fact that she has to stay in the vet for a whole night by herself so I always get the male cats fixed. But normally she would just go in heat like a few times a year or whatever but it seems to be ever few weeks lately that she is acting like that.

Any idea's

Sorry this is soo long.

Hi
Well first let me say, go on get her fixed. It will be better for her and you in the long run. She will not have to go through all the frustrations of her constant heat. Please see this page for more information about being in heat

I must admit I have not heard about the not growing any more if she had a litter when she was very young, but I suppose it could make sense as she was not fully grown herself when all her energy had to go towards the litter.

As for the fear thing, well i would have her checked by a vet in case she has a vision or ear problem. It may be that she doesn't see or hear people until they are right on top of her and this scares her.

I do have a web page about scared cats but this is more to do with a behavioral issue

best wishes Kate
