my cat keeps licking her behind and pooping herself after the birth of her kitten, her kittens are starting to have the same problem. what is this? could it be worms? It is very intense licking and she makes a weird sound when doing it, like a gurgle.

Hi yes it could be worms but it may also be caused by a virus which has caused diarrhea in all your cats.
To be honest with you because of the stage your mother cat is at and with a new litter i think it is best that you take them to see a vet to be on the safe side.
Dehydration can kill and also the health of the kittens may also be an at risk if your female cat is ill. It is better not to wait and try and treat yourself for worms or diarrhea because kittens can go down hill fast. Better that a vet can diagnose and treat if necessary sooner rather than later.
i do have a page about cat diarrhea and also one on cat worms for more information.
cat-worms.htmlcat diarrhea.htmlYour vet will also be able to advise you on the general health of your queen and her kittens too. It is always good to have a early checkup anyway.
