what should i do when i have just taken in 2 stray cats?

well we just took in 2 stray cat that we found in the street, and i dont know what we should do first. we are currently giving them milk, water, and some dog food. and well they are kind of scared i guess and dont let us come to close to them we just took them in last night so im sure they are scare but im wondering whats the best food, toys and when they will get close to use?

There is a lot of questions here , too many for me to answer really. Instead can I point you in the direct of my cat food pages, my bonding with cats page and my cat care pages. there should be all the information you will need to look after these stray cats. Don't forget also they may need to have a check up at the vets if you are intending on keeping them. The sooner that can be done the better.
