What's the matter with my kitty

My cat is 12 yrs old. All of sudden. I came home i fed him. Have him his treats which he loves snub them jump off the bed and went under the couch. I tried to get him out he gave a moan then went under another couch and won't come out he's not vomiting he went to the bathroom fine in his liter box he is an inside cat with no children it's only me and him i hope he is okay do cats get upset or angry he is always cheerful and always sitting by me

hi, my cat kept twitching his body and sometimes he will suddenly try to lick some part of his body as if something is bothering him there. he then jumped and ran around He then moved to somewhere were we cant reach him and stayed there. This is very unusual of him. Is there anything wrong with him?
