Why is he throwing up so much?

by Kendra

My cat started taking some medication for a bladder infection about 7 days ago. Yesterday he threw up 12 times and has already thrown up several times this morning. My husband is convinced it's the medication, but he has been taking it for 6 days now and has been just fine. Any ideas why he is throwing up so much? Most of the time it's just a clear liquid and others it has a little bit of his catfood in it...so nothing out of the ordinary!! Please help me if you can..i hate seeing my poor kitty like this! Thank you!

Hi
well either it is a coincidence and he has a fur ball causing him to throw up like this (I have a web page about hairballs here https://www.our-happy-cat.com/hairballs.html)
or yes she is having a reaction the medication or the infection is causing it.

if I were you I would telephone your vet and ask them if throwing up could be being caused by the medication. That way you will know whether to stop the medication or whether there could be something else wrong.

poor kitty must be feeling rough with both the infection and the throwing up. I hope they are better soon

best wishes KAte
